following is a brief tutorial of how to use Spybot
Search & Destroy® to scan your computer and Immunize
your browser for additional protection.
For advanced features or further information please consult the Help
files or the authors web site. Start Spybot Search & Destroy® by double-clicking
the Spybot Search & Destroy® icon
on your desktop.
Click Search for Updates. This will
require that your Internet connection is already established. However normal scans will not require an
Internet connection.
Click the Search for Updates button at the top of
the screen. Once the
list appears as shown, click the Download
Updates button.
If you
receive the above error downloading updates, follow the instructions below to
select another server.
Click the dropdown arrow and select another
server. Then click the Download Updates button again.
A
successful download will be similar to the above screen. Spybot
